Climate Literacy Development Training | Session 1
To build climate literate-youth in Bangladesh, a special programme, ‘Climate Literacy Development Training’ has organized by the Youth Environment & Social Development Society (YESDS) at the Alliance Française de Dhaka on 30 April 2018.
Only 20 university students of Bangladesh has got the opportunity to participate in the first-ever ‘Climate Development Literacy Training’.
‘Climate Literacy Development Training’ aimed to enhance the youth capacity to understand climate change issues properly and to act for the environmental protection.
The main goal of this training was to raise awareness, to develop the clear understanding of climate change issues among the young generation, and to engage themselves in the climate movement.
Also, this training programme has offered hands-on exercise and enabled trainees to take climate action and develop their own initiatives.
Trainees were able to learn more about the Conference of Parties (COP) processes through participating in the climate negotiation simulation session using climate change policy simulator software ‘C-Roads’.
